Supporting Women Beyond Recovery

An Erasmus+ project empowering women through physical activity, education, and social connection.

EmpowerHer is a European project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, designed to support women who have survived breast cancer. The project focuses on improving survivors’ physical, emotional, and social well-being through tailored health-related physical activity (HRPA), educational resources, and community-based support.

Developed in collaboration with universities, research centers, and NGOs across Europe, EmpowerHer promotes gender-sensitive, inclusive, and evidence-based practices to help survivors rebuild confidence, connect with others, and sustain long-term wellness after treatment.

Our Impact

EmpowerHer helps boost motivation for regular physical activity while reducing feelings of isolation through meaningful peer support. Participants experience early improvements in physical and mental well‑being, along with growing self‑confidence and autonomy.

By encouraging consistent engagement in health‑related and social activities, the programme supports sustainable lifestyle habits and stronger survivor communities across Europe, ultimately enhancing overall quality of life and long‑lasting emotional well‑being.
