EmpowerHer Transnational Project Meeting in Eindhoven

The EmpowerHer consortium gathered in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, for an inspiring and forward-looking Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) hosted by Cluster Sports & Technology. The meeting brought together all project partners to assess progress, exchange insights, and plan upcoming activities for the next stages of the EmpowerHer project — an initiative co-funded by the European Union.

Reflecting on Progress and Sharing Insights

The meeting began on October 16th with an expert team session focused on reviewing project progress. Partners shared valuable feedback on the EmpowerHer Guidelines, Best Practices, and Post Panel Surveys, fostering a rich exchange of perspectives.

A dynamic brainstorming session followed, where the team explored practical strategies to motivate and engage women in physical activity. The session concluded with discussions on survey scheduling, participant recruitment, and data analysis — all crucial elements for ensuring meaningful and measurable impact.

The day ended on a warm note with a joint dinner, strengthening the sense of collaboration and shared purpose that drives the EmpowerHer partnership.

From Theory to Practice

On October 17th, the focus shifted to advancing the project’s next stages.
The day began with a session led by the University of Valencia (UVEG), exploring Work Package 1 (WP1) activities — evaluating achievements, ongoing tasks, and upcoming challenges. This was followed by updates on Work Package 3 (WP3), emphasizing the transition from theoretical frameworks to practical implementation, and Work Package 4 (WP4), which centers on pilot activities and validation.

Special attention was given to the preparation of the Facilitators Training Course, scheduled for May–June 2026 in Greece, which will play a key role in equipping trainers to deliver EmpowerHer programs effectively.

Looking Ahead

The afternoon sessions delved into Work Package 5 (WP5), focusing on communications, motivation, and user engagement, led by EPSI, and app development updates from Surpass Sport Systems. These discussions underscored the project’s commitment to building innovative digital tools and inclusive engagement strategies that ensure lasting impact.

A Collaborative Effort for Change

The Eindhoven TPM was a testament to the dedication and teamwork of the EmpowerHer partners, including:

  • Universitat de València (UVEG)

  • Cluster Sports & Technology

  • Olympiacos

  • PSNC

  • Surpass Sport Systems

  • European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI)

Together, the consortium continues to take meaningful steps toward empowering women through sport and physical activity, promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and equal opportunities across Europe.
